At intraHouse we like to support worthwhile projects and we believe it’s important to nurture the up and coming tech talent of the future. So, we decided to be the main sponsor for the Board of European Technology Students (BEST) 2015 course ‘Unity to us! Develop your first Android game’ being held at our offices at Incube on Gran Canaria, 19-29 July and hosted by BEST Las Palmas and the University of Las Palmas.
Selected from hundreds of Europe’s best technology students, 21 lucky techies from all over Europe will descend on the sunny island to learn how to create a game for Android using the Unity3D platform. Taught by leading Unity3D teachers from the University of Las Palmas, the course covers everything Unity3D related from interface, configuration and plugins to basic artificial intelligence.
The students will also get a glimpse into what it takes to be an entrepreneur and start a business, from monetization to marketing, via a series of lectures delivered by experts in their field, including members of the intraHouse team.
At the end of the course, the participants will have to present and defend a functioning Android application, developed during the course, based on what they’ve learnt.
We’re really looking forward to working with BEST and the students, and we’d also like to thank the other sponsors includingIncube, SPEGC, Cabildo de Gran Canaria, Guaguas, Universidad de Las Palmas, Ayuntamiento de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, celgan, Montesano and ShapingtheOdds.
Without support none of this would be possible.
